Restorative Yoga

Relaxation is hardwired into our physiology.  It is not something we “do”; it is something we already are.  Restorative yoga utilizes props to support the body in positions of comfort to facilitate relaxation and support wellbeing. One of the most effective antidotes to modern day stress, this class is all about giving ourselves permission to be still and rest deeply.  All levels are welcome to attend.

Level 1

Learn the basics and essentials of foundational poses.  An excellent class for beginners or those looking for a more gentle and slower paced practice.  Participants will learn how to connect with their breathing, safely and effectively stretch tight hamstrings, alleviate musculoskeletal ailments such as low back pain, and gain confidence in one’s ability to practice yoga.

Level 2

A class for continuing students building upon and refining concepts learned in Level 1.  Classes are dynamic and playful requiring a proficiency in foundational postures and alignment principles. Participants can expect longer timings in standing postures and preparation for inversions.
